Our beloved Divot had reached a point that we knew we had to make the difficult decision to “let him go” ……..and we desperately wanted to do it with as much dignity and peace for him as we possibly could. Knowing that we were adamant that this would take place at home – his home – we made a call to Dr. Robin, who was referred to us by our vet. Immediately, upon hearing her voice – I was sure that she was the one that I would want to help us through this. When she arrived, I was positive. Dr. Robin brings with her such an aura of peace and calm and she spent a great deal of time talking with me – as well as cuddling and speaking to Divot. She listened as I described the life of our “furry child” and what he meant to my husband and me. She was so calming and caring and truly did make the unbearable bearable. I will always be so thankful she was the one that was there with us. I thought about her during the next week and thought how lucky she was to have found a “calling” in this life. It is a tribute to her love of animals. I told her so when she returned with Divot’s ashes. Not many people can say that…… Dr. Robin has such compassion, caring and dedication to her “calling” and I can’t imagine having had to face Divot’s passing without her. And her many hugs were such a great help as well.
